A Native-American warrior, the All-American lumberjack, the bucking mule, the proud knights, the wise owl, and the distinguished coat of arms, examples all of the ever-popular school logo, which can be the embodiment of school pride, community, and spirit. The symbol encompasses the basic principles of the institute, and brings the alumni and students together as more than a school, but as a team.
The symbol of one's school represents the kindred spirit of the school through its activities, whether it's the sports programs, or after-school clubs to community events. It can be said that through the icon, a common lesson is taught to all the students, a lesson of teamwork and community, of strength, honor, or heart. It collects the members of the school under its banner, and proclaims them as a single group.
The school logo often contains colors and themes generated toward a target audience. In the most typical of cases, it can be seen that more academic symbols, such as books, pens, scrolls, a graduation cap, or even an owl can adorn these normally graceful designs, geared towards educational pursuits, children, and young adults. The logo can also provide a much more direct service. It can be assumed that schools can take great damage financially from the ever changing tides of the economy. The emblem of the institute can provide an avenue to raise fundraisers and spread support by fashioning the icon on pencils, fliers, notebooks, clothing, and various school supplies which can be sold at meetings and rallies, helping the school to stay afloat.
The proud school logo, complete with its intricate designs often can inspire images of integrity and knowledge, giving the silent promise of a lasting and fulfilling education at an honorable school, whether fluttering on a school flag in the morning, embossed above the front doors, or on a folder containing last night's homework.
